Parade Registration

You are cordially invited to participate in the Burtonsville Day Parade. If you have any issues or questions, please contact Charisse Scott at parade@burtonsvilleday.org or call/text her at 240-715-5138.

The online application form takes approximately 10 minutes to complete including a script for the announcer to read about your group.

This form will close at the end of the day on Mon 9/16.

Parade Unit Information

Script for Announcer *

Provide information about your unit (no more than three or four sentences) for the parade announcer to describe your unit as they approach the Parade Judge's Stand. PLEASE WRITE THE SCRIPT EXACTLY THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE THE ANNOUNCER TO READ IT.

Parade units with young children or persons with disabilities have the option of being inserted into the parade at the traffic circle near Banneker Middle School. This reduces the length of the parade for them. *

Some parade units need to be adjacent to other units. Please list any parade unit you would like to be paired or grouped with. LEAVE BLANK if you have no preferences.

Burtonsville Day Parade Terms & Conditions:

The Burtonsville Day Celebration, Inc. and the Burtonsville Day Committee will not be held responsible for any liability incurred. Applicant and participants agree to hold harmless Burtonsville Day Celebration, Inc., and the Burtonsville Day Committee for any liability created by virtue of being a participant in the Burtonsville Day Parade.
The Burtonsville Day Committee will not be providing vehicles for participants.
All participants wishing to ride in the parade must provide their own vehicle(s).
The maximum time to perform in front of the Judges Reviewing Stand will be one minute.
Participants must keep up with the parade and not cause gaps to occur in the parade.
Participants must be at the staging area by the prescribed time or they will be placed at the end of the parade at the discretion of the parade staff.
Parade will begin promptly at 10:00 am, rain or shine.
You must sign up by the required date or risk being placed at the end of the parade.
Please let us know if you have a group of small children that must start at Banneker Middle School instead of Paint Branch High School.
We will attempt to accommodate location requests. However, location assignments are final.

About Burtonsville Day:

Burtonsville Festival Celebration, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 1992.

The sole purpose of our organization is to coordinate, plan, execute, and promote the annual Burtonsville Day Festival.
