Burtonsville Day 2025
SSL HOURS VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

 

Location: Marilyn Praisner Community Recreation Center, Columbia Park. James Hubert Blake, Springbrook, and Paint Branch High School Students may either bring their own MCPS Form 560-51 [Student Service Learning (SSL) Activity Verification] or will be provided a copy at the recreation center for submittal by the students to their respective schools’ SSL coordinator.

 

NOTE: A mandatory pre-event meeting will be held for all SSL signed-up students on September 18 at 7:00pm to review and provide assignments of tasks they will be asked to perform. This meeting will be held at the Marilyn Praisner Community Recreation Center at: 14906 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD 20866. 

Students between grade levels 9th through 12th grades may sign up. Available volunteer time slots are:

• 7:00 am – 11:00 am: Event setup and support as assigned (5 positions)

• 7:00 am – 11:00 am: Parade lineup coordination (6 positions)

11:00 am – 3:30 pm: Event support as assigned (4 positions)

When submitting your request, DO NOT USE YOUR MCPS EMAIL ADDRESS, use your personal email address so we may contact you.

All volunteer spots have been filled! See you at BD on Sat 9/20!

Burtonsville Festival Celebration, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 1992.

 

The sole purpose of our organization is to coordinate, plan, execute, and promote the annual Burtonsville Day Festival.
